          HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi)

          • HSK-Level 2: Test takers who reach HSK-Level 2 can communicate simply and directly on daily topics they are familiar with. Level 2 have reached the advanced stage of beginner level.
          • HSK-Level 3: Test takes who reach HSK-Level 3 can complete basic communication tasks in daily life, study and work. If travelling in China, Level 3 can handle most communication tasks they encounter.

Firstly you should test your language level and decide which test you could take. HSK 2 required 300 words, HSK 3 required 600 words. There is a long distance between these two tests. So I think it`s easy for you to decide.

You can find some HSK mock papers or online sample tests. It will help you know more about the test structure and your weakness.

Normal text books learning are necessary. The basic knowledge points are the same including listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Try your best practice more! Practice makes perfect. Pay attention to summarize the main points.

If you are not that familiar with HSK, you`d better hire a professional HSK tutor to guide you.

Here are some mock papers for all the learners. Good luck!

First, you should find strengthen your Chinese basic knowledge, especially, Chinese grammar. For oral Chinese, you can find a native Chinese friends to practice. You can also go to Chinesebon to find a native Chinese language partner.

When I opened this thread, I thought about another preparation. I thought that everybody told you to bring a cup of tea or coffee, turn on relaxing music (maybe another style, I prefer relaxing music, when I prepare). And also you need to be in good mood. If you are sad, you can repeat previous actions. After that mood will be good 🙂

And I think, that all those instructions, which other users write to you, must-have, but my instruction (coffee, music, good mood) more important!

                                Hey,

I’d just like to add that HSK levels has changed a bit recently, so there are also some changes in vocabulary you need to study. From my experiences HSK is using a lot of words that you don’t need in daily life, so whenever you are doing exercises try to think of “daily-life-examples” with your tutor or in class. Good luck! Chinese isn’t easy hehe, but it’s so rewarding when you can have a conversation with a native speaker!!

                                GOOD LUCK AND 加油!
